Over the last two months we have been very happy to welcome 80 new members to our Network from all around the state.

Happy New Year! Christmas seems a dim memory as we go full steam ahead towards Easter

2016 has been a big year for us, our members and the NDIS in Queensland.

National Carers Week is about recognising and celebrating the outstanding contribution unpaid carers make to our nation.

We have a new Maryborough yarning group, meet our new member Camilla and read the word on the street about NDIS planning.

Our new website launch, funding for school children with disability in senior years and hear the word on the street.

Our Network morning teas are getting lots of interest.

Some major news with the Commonwealth and Queensland Governments signing a Bilateral Agreement regarding the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Last year was an exciting year for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Disability Network of Queensland. We launched a new logo, newsletter, and social media sites. We also built our profile attending numerous events across the state and increased our media opportunities.

It's been a busy two months for the Network.

We celebrated Disability Action Week with activities across the state and a big thank-you to all those that came and visited the team. It was great to chat and celebrate the week with you.
